Senior Accountant
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, improving financial processes, and supporting leadership with reliable financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Analyze financial data and investigate variances to support business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Assist with audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
