Regional Manager (Cloud MSP Operations)
The Mandate
A private investment firm is seeking a high-profile Regional Manager to take the helm of two cloud-first MSP businesses. This is a pivotal role focused on the strategic consolidation of East and West Coast operations into a single, high-performing unit. This position is designed for an immediate starter who can drive a significant organizational shift within a strict nine-month window.
Key Responsibilities
-
Operational Integration: Lead the complex merger of two distinct cloud-first MSP teams, aligning hardware and workflows into a single, cohesive entity.
-
Data Center Synergy: Establish and manage the organization’s East and West Coast data centers as one unified operating unit.
-
Strategic Leadership: Provide firm, decisive leadership for offices in both Vancouver and Kitchener-Waterloo.
-
Process Optimization: Drive the implementation of efficient service delivery policies and procedures to streamline existing operations.
-
On-Site Management: Maintain a high-visibility presence, specifically in Vancouver, requiring on-site availability for a minimum of one to two weeks per month.
The Ideal Profile
We are seeking a seasoned leader who "speaks" MSP and has a track record of executing rapid turnarounds.
-
Proven MSP Leadership: Must have prior experience in a senior leadership capacity such as an MSP Manager, Service Desk Leader, Owner, or CEO.
-
Operational Scale: Demonstrated experience successfully running a professional "shop" or team of 15 to 20 individuals.
-
Technical & Account Depth: Strong technical ability paired with deep experience in service delivery and high-level account management.
-
Cloud Proficiency: While deep cloud specialization is preferred, specific experience with hosted desktops is considered a major asset for this role.
-
Execution Focus: A verifiable history of driving tangible results in "quick turnaround" environments.
Location & Mobility
-
Home Base: Vancouver is the preferred primary location for this role.
-
On-Site Requirement: Due to the scale of operations in the region, regular and mandatory on-site presence in Vancouver is required.
