Senior Solutions Architect – Infrastructure (Nutanix Focus)

📍 Atlanta, GA (preferred) or Nashville, TN | Hybrid | ~50% Travel

About the Role

A leading technology solutions provider is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join its Technology team. This is a hands-on presales role focused on designing and positioning modern infrastructure solutions across data center, HCI, storage, and hybrid cloud environments.

This is not a high-level enterprise architecture role — it is a customer-facing, deal-aligned position where you will partner closely with sales and customers to design solutions, run demos/POCs, and help drive successful outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with sales teams to uncover customer requirements across infrastructure, storage, and hybrid cloud
• Design and present scalable solutions centered around HCI and modern data center platforms
• Act as the technical lead on complex opportunities including virtualization, storage, DR, automation, and hybrid cloud
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, and proof-of-concepts to customers
• Translate business and technical requirements into best-practice solution architectures
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to validate designs and accelerate deal cycles
• Provide guidance on infrastructure modernization, migrations, and consolidation initiatives
• Stay current on platform capabilities, roadmap updates, and competitive positioning

What You Bring

Core Experience

• 5+ years in a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or presales engineering role
• Strong background in data center infrastructure, storage, and virtualization
• Experience supporting full sales cycles in a customer-facing capacity

Technical Expertise

• Deep experience with hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), ideally with Nutanix
• Experience with virtualization (AHV and/or VMware)
• Strong understanding of storage, data protection, and disaster recovery
• Experience designing hybrid cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Working knowledge of networking, backup, and security technologies

Additional Strengths

• Ability to lead technical discussions, whiteboard solutions, and run POCs
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with sales and technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Nutanix platform components (AOS, AHV, Prism, DR, automation)
• Certifications in relevant infrastructure or cloud technologies
• Experience working in a VAR, MSP, or systems integrator environment
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and lifecycle management

• Work Model: Remote with ability to come into Buckhead office for client/partner meetings
• Travel: Approximately 50% to support customer engagements
