Vice President of Technology

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Vice President of Technology to lead the organization’s overall technology strategy, IT operations, cybersecurity, and business systems functions. This leadership role is responsible for aligning technology initiatives with business goals while supporting day-to-day operations across multiple departments and locations.

The ideal candidate is a practical technology leader who can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, manage internal teams and external vendors, and drive technology improvements that support growth, operational efficiency, data management, and security.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership

  • Lead the company’s technology and business systems strategy across all departments and operations
  • Develop and implement technology roadmaps aligned with business growth and operational goals
  • Serve as a senior advisor to executive leadership on IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems, and technology planning
  • Establish technology standards, governance, priorities, and service expectations across the organization
  • Balance long-term technology planning with day-to-day operational support

IT Operations & Infrastructure

  • Oversee IT infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud systems, hardware, telecommunications, and user support
  • Ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations across all company locations
  • Manage IT support functions, disaster recovery, backups, and business continuity planning
  • Standardize systems, support processes, and security practices where appropriate

Business Systems & ERP Management

  • Lead the support, optimization, and governance of ERP systems and enterprise applications
  • Partner with business leaders to improve workflows, reporting, data integrity, and operational efficiency
  • Identify opportunities to automate or simplify business processes using technology
  • Oversee system upgrades, integrations, and future technology improvements

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives, risk management practices, and technology compliance efforts
  • Strengthen security controls across systems, infrastructure, users, and vendors
  • Support access controls, system permissions, incident response, and security awareness initiatives
  • Ensure technology operations align with applicable compliance and data protection requirements

Data, Reporting & Technology Innovation

  • Improve data quality, reporting consistency, dashboards, and business intelligence capabilities
  • Support leadership teams with reporting tools and operational analytics
  • Evaluate opportunities for automation, AI, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and decision-making
  • Establish practical governance around data access, reporting, and technology usage

Manufacturing & Operational Technology Support

  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to support manufacturing and operational systems
  • Assist with technology solutions related to production reporting, quality systems, connectivity, and operational efficiency
  • Evaluate practical technology improvements that support productivity, safety, quality, and cost reduction

Vendor & Budget Management

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, consultants, and service providers
  • Oversee IT budgets, technology spending, and vendor contracts
  • Evaluate vendor performance, cost effectiveness, and overall business value
  • Support disciplined technology investments and reduce unnecessary system complexity

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop IT and business systems personnel
  • Establish clear responsibilities, priorities, and accountability within the technology team
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, responsiveness, continuous improvement, and business partnership
  • Support organizational growth through scalable technology processes and systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT, business systems, or technology management
  • Experience overseeing IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, vendors, and enterprise systems
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, cloud platforms, networks, business continuity, and data management
  • Experience leading technology projects and process improvement initiatives in a complex operational environment
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with executive leadership, operational teams, technical staff, and external partners
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environments preferred
