Director, West Coast

Aesthetic medicine advances when physicians trust the science and patients see a result worth repeating. This role puts that trust in motion across the West Coast: you will build the commercial engine that turns a differentiated aesthetic device into standard practice. Success is measured in physician adoption, consistent clinical outcomes, and a territory that grows because it is earned, not merely covered.

Performance Objectives

  • Build and hit a West Coast revenue plan by converting target aesthetic practices into trained, repeat users within the first year.
  • Open and deepen relationships with key opinion leaders so they teach, publish, and refer based on clinical experience with the platform.
  • Stand up a high-performing field team—direct or distributor—and coach it to a predictable cadence of evaluations, conversions, and reorders.
  • Design and run physician education that shortens time-to-proficiency and reduces variability in patient outcomes.
  • Create a territory intelligence system: account priorities, competitive wins and losses, and a quarterly forecast leadership can act on.
  • Partner with clinical, marketing, and reimbursement colleagues to remove the barriers that stall adoption in premium aesthetic markets.
  • Protect the brand in the field: every demo, training, and complaint handled to medical-device standards.

Environment & Resources

You report to commercial leadership and work as the senior voice for the West Coast, with a lean cross-functional team spanning clinical education, marketing, and customer support. You will have a territory budget for education, travel, and local programs, plus access to clinical data, training curricula, and marketing assets. The company is an early-stage, privately held medical device organization focused on aesthetic technology, with East Coast headquarters and a field model built for physician practices rather than hospital systems.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven record leading capital or disposable aesthetic or medical-device sales on the West Coast, including multi-year quota achievement.
  • Experience hiring, coaching, or directing field representatives or specialty distributors in physician-office settings.
  • Fluency with aesthetic practice economics—consults, treatment mix, and what makes a device stick after the evaluation.
  • Skill running KOL and training programs that change technique, not just awareness.
  • Comfort operating in a regulated device environment: complaint handling, promotional compliance, and accurate clinical claims.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the West Coast and to be the accountable owner of the number.

Why This Role

  • Own a region at the moment a new aesthetic platform is being defined, not after the playbook is frozen.
  • Work directly with physicians who care about outcomes, not volume for its own sake.
  • Shape how the company sells, trains, and supports—your field insight will change the product story.
  • Join a focused team where commercial judgment is visible and rewarded.

If you have built physician adoption for an aesthetic device and want the West Coast number to be yours, send your resume and a short note on a territory you grew and how you did it.
