Head of Data Science - Identity & Compliance
About the Role
We seek a hands-on, technically deep leader to own the Data Science function across identity and compliance products. You will set the technical vision, build and develop the team, and drive production-grade AI systems from concept to deployment.
A key focus of this role is the development of agent-driven systems that automate identity decisioning and compliance workflows, alongside continued advancement of graph intelligence and representation learning capabilities. This is a high-ownership role.
What You'll Do
• Own the data science vision for identity and compliance
• Lead and grow a high-performing team of data scientists
• Architect and deploy ML systems across identity verification, entity resolution, sanctions/watchlist screening, and compliance risk modeling
• Drive graph-based intelligence, including graph neural networks (GNNs)
• Design and implement agentic AI systems for automated decisioning, case triage, and adaptive compliance workflows
What You Bring
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related field
• 10+ years in data science and machine learning
• A strong track record of production-grade AI systems at scale
• Deep domain experience in identity verification, KYC/AML, sanctions/watchlist screening, fraud detection, or compliance risk modeling in fintech or adjacent industries
• Proven leadership managing and scaling high-performing data science teams
• Deep expertise in graph neural networks, entity resolution, representation learning, and large-scale data systems
• Strong understanding of agentic system design
• Hands-on experience with GenAI
• Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch); graph ML frameworks a plus
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark or equivalent large-scale distributed data systems
