Accounting Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with a strong public accounting background and exposure to SOX 404 requirements. The ideal candidate will bring at least four years of experience working at a mid-tier accounting firm, along with a CPA license or progress toward CPA certification.

This position will provide oversight and guidance to a small accounting team, including two Senior-level professionals and an Accounts Payable Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accounting oversight and guidance to two Senior-level team members and an Accounts Payable Specialist through indirect reporting relationships.
• Support the accounting function by providing direction, reviewing work, and helping ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Apply knowledge of SOX 404 requirements and internal control processes to support accounting operations.
• Collaborate with accounting team members to address issues, improve processes, and maintain appropriate controls.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to indirect reports.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working at a mid-tier public accounting firm.
• Experience with SOX 404 requirements and internal controls.
• Active CPA license or completion of portions of the CPA examination.
• Experience providing oversight, guidance, or leadership to accounting professionals.
• Strong accounting, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
