Division Finance Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Division Finance Manager to join a large, established organization and serve as a strategic finance partner to regional and operational leadership.

Reporting to the Division Finance Director, this individual will provide financial analysis, business insight, and strategic guidance to help improve operating performance and support long-term growth objectives. The role will work closely with Regional, District, and Branch leadership across areas including revenue and cost management, workforce planning, forecasting, asset utilization, and overall financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to Regional, District, and Branch leadership, providing financial insight and recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Analyze financial and operational results, including revenue, margins, pricing/rates, utilization, staffing, costs, and asset/fleet performance.
  • Identify trends, performance opportunities, and potential business risks and partner with operational leadership to develop appropriate action plans.
  • Lead monthly forecasting and support annual budgeting and planning activities across the assigned region.
  • Review financial forecasts and plans submitted by operational teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Partner with leadership on workforce and headcount planning, providing financial analysis to support resource allocation decisions.
  • Support month-end financial close activities by reviewing operating results, validating key activity, and identifying necessary adjustments or follow-up items.
  • Develop financial models and business cases utilizing financial statements, discounted cash flow analysis, accretion/dilution analysis, and other financial evaluation techniques.
  • Provide financial education and training to operational managers to strengthen financial acumen and decision-making throughout the organization.
  • Recommend financial controls, process improvements, and system enhancements that improve visibility, efficiency, and overall financial performance.
  • Monitor progress against strategic initiatives and provide management with concise financial analysis, trend reporting, and actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline required.
  • CPA, MBA, CFA, CMA, or similar advanced credential strongly preferred.
  • Approximately 5–10 years of progressive finance, accounting, consulting, FP&A, or related experience.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical capabilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial information into practical business recommendations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence business leaders without direct authority.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable operating independently within a large, geographically dispersed organization.
  • Experience supporting field operations, multi-location businesses, or decentralized operating environments is highly desirable.
