POSITION: Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving our mechanical systems. This role will lead engineering projects, conducting detailed analysis, and ensuring the designs meet the required specifications and safety standards. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with other engineers, designers, and project managers. The Mechanical Engineer’s goal is to deliver high-quality mechanical solutions that contribute to the success of the organization while meeting our customer needs.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and interpret existing customer drawings and material specifications.
  • Investigate and document existing field conditions at customers’ facilities.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Attend project meetings for communication on the objectives of the project.
  • Perform calculations and analysis in accordance with current codes, standards, and design intent.
  • Design and develop innovative technical solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate, review, and investigate other discipline requirements critical to the design, selection, and installation of mechanical system.
  • Obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing and develop bid phase package for procurement of project.
  • Review and approve submittals.
  • Generate, maintain, and organize HVAC and plumbing system design documents, drawings, and files.
  • Coordinate and prioritize workload to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Attend product demonstrations and training seminars to gain knowledge of advancements and opportunities for more innovative solutions and process improvements within projects.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of company products and services.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Must be able to work in both office and construction sites.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test and possess a valid Pennsylvania’s Driver’s License.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five (5) to Fifteen (15) years Mechanical HVAC Engineering experience.
  • Holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Knowledge of HVAC load software.
  • Knowledge of construction codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
