Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, works safely and efficiently, and is committed to delivering high-quality service while maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, commercial mowers, power equipment, and small engines.
• Conduct repairs safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain detailed and accurate service and maintenance records.
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Help preserve the reliability and performance of fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Provide excellent internal customer service and timely support to operations.
• Assist with additional maintenance tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of mechanical repair and maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle and equipment diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience servicing fleet vehicles, trucks, trailers, mowers, or power equipment.
• Ability to safely use diagnostic and repair tools.
• Must provide personal tools necessary to perform job duties.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on diesel engines.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience maintaining commercial fleet vehicles and landscape or construction equipment.
