Position Summary
The CDL Bus Operator is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation services for passengers. Operators must maintain compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and GCT’s high standards of customer service, safety, and hospitality.
Compensation
- Shuttle Pay: $25.00/hr (with performance-based increases per policy)
- Non-Shuttle Pay: $10.00/hr + 15% gratuity
- 3rd Shift Premium: $30.00/hr for hours worked between 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM
- Pay Frequency: Weekly (every Thursday)
Responsibilities
- Safely operate buses and passenger vehicles with punctuality and professionalism
- Perform and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle (fueling, trash removal, upkeep)
- Communicate clearly with dispatch; report issues or concerns immediately
- Complete required daily driver logs in compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Operate company software and smartphone apps for dispatch, GPS, and time tracking
- Provide friendly, courteous service to all riders; assist with luggage as needed
- Maintain knowledge of all assigned routes, stops, and timing requirements
- Uphold company values of integrity, respect, and customer-first service
Requirements
- Valid CDL (A or B) with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement
- Valid DOT Medical Card (kept current at all times)
- Clean MVR and background check
- Ability to sit and operate vehicles for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Proficiency in English (read, write, speak)
- Basic computer/smartphone skills
- Customer service experience preferred
