Position Summary

The Landscape Construction Production Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations and successful execution of all landscape installation and hardscape construction projects. This position ensures that projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while managing and mentoring field crews. The manager serves as the vital link between strategic planning, field execution, clients, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management & Planning: Plan, organize, and supervise multiple landscape installation and construction projects from start to finish. Review project specifications, blueprints, and contracts to develop efficient execution plans and schedules.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision: Manage, mentor, and provide guidance to field supervisors, crew leaders, and installation teams. Conduct training on proper construction techniques, equipment usage, and company systems.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate and manage the allocation of labor, equipment, and materials for all projects. Procure materials and supplies from approved vendors and ensure timely delivery to job sites. Monitor inventory levels and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Quality Assurance & Safety: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets design specifications and quality standards. Enforce all health and safety regulations and protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and addressing unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Budgeting & Financial Management: Track project progress, monitor labor hours and material costs, and ensure projects adhere to established budgets. Review financial reports and proactively identify opportunities to improve production methods and profitability.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, and designers during the construction phase. Address concerns, provide project updates, and perform final walkthroughs to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in landscape construction project management or a related field, with proven supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of landscape construction materials, methods, horticulture, irrigation systems, and best safety practices.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design plans, and specifications. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Aspire, Smartsheet) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Requirements: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs is essential.
  • Education/Certifications (Preferred): A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Horticulture, or a related field is a plus. Industry certifications (e.g., ICPI, NCMA, OSHA 30-Hour) are highly valued.
