Electronic Repair Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electronic Repair Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic circuit boards and assemblies used in industrial equipment. This role requires strong technical knowledge of electronic systems, the ability to perform component-level repairs, and experience using electronic testing and diagnostic equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to delivering high-quality repairs while maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic circuit board failures to the component level.
• Perform repairs by replacing defective electronic components, including resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits (ICs), relays, connectors, power devices, and other electronic components.
• Use diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power supplies to identify and resolve electronic faults.
• Read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to support troubleshooting and repair activities.
• Conduct functional testing and quality inspections to verify repaired assemblies meet performance and reliability standards.
• Perform soldering and desoldering of through-hole and surface-mount (SMT) components.
• Maintain accurate repair records, service documentation, and inventory of replacement components.
• Log incoming and outgoing repair work and ensure proper tracking throughout the repair process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow established quality standards, safety procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic repair, printed circuit board (PCB) troubleshooting, or industrial electronic equipment maintenance.
• Strong understanding of component-level diagnostics and repair techniques.
• Proficiency in soldering and desoldering both through-hole and surface-mount (SMT) components.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Experience using electronic diagnostic and test equipment, including multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with industrial control systems, motor drives, power supplies, inverters, or machine control systems.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance and industrial automation equipment.
• Knowledge of electronic quality control and testing procedures.
• Experience maintaining repair logs, inventory records, and technical documentation.
