Controller – Industrial Services (Remote)
We're working with a well-established, PE-backed industrial services company that operates across multiple specialized business units. They're known for complex, mission-critical work in sectors like food & beverage, cold storage, pharma, and healthcare — and they run a lean, fast-moving finance function that actually has a seat at the table.
They're looking for a Controller to own accounting and financial reporting for one of their core business units, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller.
The role
This is a hands-on leadership seat — you're building and enforcing the close process, running the reconciliations, managing cash, and making sure the financials are airtight. But it doesn't stop at compliance. You'll be working directly with operations leadership on budgets, forecasts, and financial decisions that move the business. If you're looking for a heads-down scorekeeper role, this isn't it.
Day to day you'll be responsible for:
- Running the monthly close — owning the process, the deadlines, and the quality
- Account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Oversight of daily transaction processing: AR, AP, WIP, cash receipts
- Payroll accounting and job costing
- Cash flow management and reporting to executives
- Tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
- GAAP compliance, including implementation of new standards
- Budgets, forecasts, and projections
- KPI development and management reporting
- Financial input on capital decisions, pricing, and contract negotiations
What they're looking for
Must-haves:
- 10–15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 in a supervisory role
- Construction or job-costing accounting background — this is a real requirement, not a nice-to-have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- A work style that's comfortable being both the leader and the one in the weeds

The details
- Fully remote - no threat of RTO
- Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 base
- Annual bonus: approximately 20%
