You have my attention
The Netherlands has always had a strong reputation in financial trading, and this company isn’t about to fall behind. As a High-Frequency Trading firm, it breathes technology. For every trader on the floor, there are at least two developers. Make no mistake, IT is their core business. Because in such a highly competitive market, performance, speed, and reliability are key.
You? You’ll be part of an elite team within the firm that is focused on developing the most technically advanced trading stack in the market today. You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies across greenfield projects and existing systems and have end-to-end ownership of the technology you touch.
Now you have my curiosity
As a Quantitative Developer, you’ll be right in the middle of a fast-moving, high-stakes environment. You’ll work together with other developers and researchers to build and deploy fully automated, high-performance trading systems, powered by real-time machine learning. This involves designing scalable data infrastructure to ingest, process and analyze large datasets and translating advanced machine learning models and trading strategies into production-grade solutions.
Every day you work with traders, researchers, developers, infrastructure specialists and performance experts, to ensure low-latency, reliability and execution efficiency. Together, you design, build, and optimize systems that drive millions of trading decisions on a daily basis.
And from a more technical point of view?
Alright, the list is not endless but you’ll definitely need to bring some serious skills to the table. You have a background in academia and at least two years of work experience in Python and C++ or Rust. Asynchronous, concurrent and multi-threaded code should be familiar to you and you’ll also need some strong scripting abilities in Bash. Add to that some hands-on experience with ML and data processing pipelines and CI/CD tooling and you’re pretty much there.
Ticking some but not all of the boxes? Don’t hesitate to apply, you might just have exactly what it takes to be successful in this role.
So this trading thing, what does it pay?
