This individual will serve as a key member of the leadership team—responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and a positive, compliant work environment.

Responsibilities


Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Develop and monitor budgets, track variances, and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance across general ledger, payroll classifications, and job costing
  • Manage quarterly profit distributions and coordinate with CPA on tax preparation
  • Oversee credit card reconciliations, vendor rebates, and expense allocations


Compliance & Risk Management

  • File and remit sales tax and business renewals
  • Coordinate insurance audits and renewals (workers’ comp, liability, vehicle, etc.)
  • Maintain appropriate coverage levels and manage claims and certificates of insurance
  • Track and ensure compliance with labor laws, OSHA standards, and licensing requirements


Systems & Process Improvement

  • Oversee financial and business management systems (e.g., Stax, Arborgold, ADP)
  • Ensure data accuracy and alignment between systems
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting quality
  • Support IT and facility operations, including hardware/software rollouts and vendor contracts


Human Resources Administration

  • Manage recruiting, onboarding, and training processes
  • Oversee payroll, benefits, and compensation administration
  • Ensure accuracy of timekeeping, PTO, and compliance with labor regulations
  • Maintain employee files and HR systems; update employee handbook and policies
  • Coordinate safety programs, employee engagement initiatives, and team recognition


Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide clear, data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Serve as a trusted partner to leadership in financial and operational planning
  • Supervise office administration staff and foster a culture of accountability, compliance, and collaboration


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, and HR administration
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity accounting
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and business management software (e.g., Arborgold, ADP)
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, reporting, and cross-departmental projects
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $70,000-$85,000
  • Profit-sharing & Company bonus
