Full-service design / build landscaping firm in Rochester Hills, MI is looking for a Landscape Design-Build Sales Consultant. The company specializes in creating exceptional outdoor living environments, including patios, outdoor kitchens, plantings, pools, lighting, and more. The Landscape Design-Build Sales Consultant is responsible for nurturing client relationships, and guiding customers through the full design / build process—from initial consultation to project handoff. This role blends sales acumen with an understanding of landscape design, outdoor construction, and client experience.


Responsibilities:

Sales & Client Acquisition

  • Conduct on-site client consultations to understand project needs, site conditions, and budget.
  • Develop and present design proposals, conceptual plans, and estimates that meet client expectations.
  • Close sales by clearly communicating scope, value, and pricing.


Project Development

  • Oversee revisions to proposals or designs based on client feedback.
  • Ensure a smooth handoff of signed projects to production teams.


Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong follow-up and communication throughout the sales cycle.
  • Build long-term relationships to encourage referrals and repeat business.


Industry Knowledge & Professionalism

  • Stay informed on landscape trends, materials, plants, and outdoor construction techniques.
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and training as needed.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm.


Qualifications:

Required

  • Proven experience in sales, design–build landscaping, outdoor construction, or related fields.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read or create basic conceptual sketches or interpret landscape plans.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable working outdoors during site visits.
  • Knowledge of landscape construction, horticulture, or outdoor design principles.
  • Familiarity with estimating or project budgeting—preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Position $65,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience
