We’re seeking a skilled, dependable, proactive Fleet Mechanic who loves working on equipment to take charge of maintaining our fleet of gas trucks, trailers, and landscaping equipment. You’ll be based out of our dedicated shop, complete with a large bay door, welding equipment, air compressors, and more. The role includes everything from preventative maintenance and diagnostics to field repairs and occasional custom fabrication projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and landscaping equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, etc.
  • Respond to service calls and conduct field repairs when needed.
  • Keep maintenance logs and proactively schedule inspections and service intervals.
  • Manage and coordinate all license plate renewals, inspections, and related items.
  • Manage and order parts & supplies.
  • Maintain an organized and safe shop space.
  • Assist with welding/fabrication and custom shop projects when time allows.
  • Communicate with management and field staff to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Work with snow & ice management crews during winter.


We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a mechanic (fleet or heavy equipment preferred).
  • Proactive, hands-on individual who enjoys working on equipment.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently.
  • Valid driver’s license required (CDL Class A, a plus but not required).


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Azuga or similar equipment tracking systems.
  • Having your own set of tools is preferred but not required
  • Welding/fabrication experience a plus.
  • Certification (ASE or similar) preferred but not required.
