Award winning landscaping firm in Wheaton, IL is seeking a seasoned Landscape Maintenance Manager to lead the residential landscape maintenance division. This individual will oversee field operations, ensure exceptional quality standards, foster strong client relationships, and drive the success of a high-end maintenance portfolio. The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on leader with deep horticultural knowledge and a passion for delivering premium landscape care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of multiple residential maintenance crews, ensuring efficiency and quality across all properties.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee weekly maintenance routes, seasonal tasks, and special projects.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections, provide field training, and maintain consistent standards of excellence.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients—delivering responsive communication, proactive solutions, and exceptional service.
  • Identify enhancement opportunities and collaborate with project managers and designers to recommend property improvements.
  • Ensure proper care, readiness, and utilization of company vehicles and maintenance equipment.
  • Track and manage labor hours, materials, and job costs to meet divisional budget goals.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance team members, fostering professional growth and accountability.
  • Uphold company safety policies and promote a positive, respectful, and professional work culture.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional landscape maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Northern Illinois plant material, pruning practices, turf health, and seasonal maintenance techniques.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple crews and high-end client portfolios simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with scheduling, estimating, and maintenance management software preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
