Role: Sales Lead (AI-First Revenue Build)

Location: Remote — United States or Canada


Our client is a mission-driven digital health company building one of the most widely accessible at-home psychedelic-assisted therapy platforms in the United States.


Founded by an entrepreneur whose family experienced firsthand the life-saving potential of ketamine therapy, the company was built around a simple premise: expand access to clinically-validated mental health treatments that meaningfully improve outcomes for people struggling with depression, anxiety, and PTSD.


The platform combines clinician-guided treatment, structured medicine sessions, integration support, and a digital care experience designed to deliver evidence-based therapy at scale. Patients receive a full treatment program that includes clinician consultations, guided sessions, and ongoing support through a proprietary digital platform.


Since launch, the company has delivered hundreds of thousands of treatment sessions and built the largest peer-reviewed dataset on ketamine therapy outcomes. The business is profitable, backed by top-tier venture investors, and operating across most U.S. states while expanding access to a rapidly emerging category of mental health care.


Position Overview:

Our client is hiring a Sales Lead to build and lead the company’s first formal sales function.


This is a founding mandate: the company already sees strong inbound demand, but there is no established sales organization yet. The person in this role will design and implement an AI-first sales motion that converts that demand into scalable revenue while maintaining disciplined customer acquisition economics.


The Sales Lead will work closely with leadership and growth marketing to design the infrastructure, tooling, and processes required to support rapid growth. In the early stages, this is a player-coach role — building the system while also participating directly in the sales motion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and launch the company’s first AI-enabled sales function from the ground up
  • Design inbound conversion systems to capture and convert existing demand
  • Implement AI-driven outreach and follow-up workflows to improve response speed and conversion rates
  • Develop outbound sales programs targeting warm and high-intent leads
  • Implement sales infrastructure including tools, automation, and reporting dashboards
  • Partner with growth marketing to align lead generation and sales conversion systems
  • Recruit and lead a hybrid sales team combining AI-driven systems with human closers
  • Own performance metrics including conversion rates, revenue growth, and customer acquisition cost targets
  • Act as a player-coach in the early stages, selling while building the systems that scale the function


Qualifications:


You likely fit if you:

  • Have experience in high-volume transactional sales environments (DTC or B2B)
  • Have built or redesigned a sales function, not just managed an existing team
  • Are highly operational with AI tools and comfortable deploying them within sales workflows
  • Can move quickly from strategy to execution and launch new systems rapidly
  • Thrive in ambiguous environments and enjoy building processes from scratch
  • Are comfortable operating as both an individual contributor and team leader
  • Have a genuine interest in mental health innovation, psychedelic medicine, or transformative healthcare technologies


This role is not for you if:

  • Prefer established teams and fully defined processes before executing
  • Prefer long-cycle enterprise sales environments
  • Are skeptical of using AI tools within sales workflows
  • Prefer a purely managerial role rather than a player-coach position
  • Tend to move frequently between roles with short tenures
