Role: Integrator (Chief of Staff)

Location: New York, NY (note this role is in-office Monday – Thursday and remote on Fridays)

Salary: $200k

Our client is a New York-based private investment firm that provides growth capital to small and medium-sized U.S. businesses. They focus on working directly with management teams to help grow their companies and build lasting value through tailored capital solutions. Over their 16-year history, they have completed 160+ transactions, deploying more than $3.1 billion in capital to companies across a variety of sectors.

Position Overview:

The Integrator or Senior Integrator (Chief of Staff), supported by senior leadership, leads the execution of internal strategic initiatives to shape the OE Network 2.0, which will serve as the core foundation for the firm's ONE Platform. This function is central to scaling the value of their Operating Expert (OE) network and building the internal infrastructure that powers proprietary sourcing, enhanced due diligence, portfolio company monitoring and enablement, sector intelligence, exit maximization, and relationship-driven investing. The Integrator will work directly with senior leadership to drive these initiatives forward — owning project management, tooling, cross-functional workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and AI-enabled automation. This person will be responsible for designing and implementing the internal “engine” behind how the firm engages with experts, manages data, and generates sector-level insight — transforming a valuable network into a durable and scalable strategic advantage. The role involves working across investment, research, and asset management teams to ensure strong alignment and integration of the OE network into daily workflows, processes, strategic planning, and firm-wide business rhythm. This is a newly created position that offers the opportunity to provide both leverage and leadership as the firm builds toward its next chapter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead internal strategic initiatives that will scale and transform the Operating Expert (OE) network into the ONE platform, translating ambitious vision into structured execution across teams and systems.
  • Own complex, cross-functional projects from inception to completion — including scoping, stakeholder alignment, timeline management, risk mitigation, and post-project analysis.
  • Build and maintain internal systems that serve as the foundation for OE network management, including CRMs, dashboards, databases, scoring frameworks, and project management tools.
  • Develop and implement repeatable workflows, SOPs, and best practices to enable efficient onboarding, segmentation, engagement, and reactivation of sector experts and ecosystem partners.
  • Architect and evolve the ONE (Operating Network & Ecosystem) platform — a strategic platform uniting operators, functional experts, and key ecosystem partners to deliver measurable value creation.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI and automation into internal workflows — including prompt design, summarization of qualitative data, low-code automations, and interoperability across tools and systems.
  • Collaborate closely with investment, asset management, research, and compliance teams to ensure OE-related insights and relationships are embedded into sourcing, diligence, and portfolio support workflows, while contributing to the firm’s central intelligence hub.
  • Create internal strategy decks, memos, reporting cadences, and updates that synthesize ONE performance, strategic value, and operational milestones for firm leadership.
  • Design and refine a tiered scoring system for OE segmentation — capturing relationship strength, historical value-add, sector connectivity, and functional expertise.
  • Serve as the operational bridge between vision and execution — keeping initiatives moving forward while building the systems and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of the ONE platform, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration between cross-functional teams through documentation, training sessions, and regular updates.

Qualifications:

  • 5–8+ years of relevant experience in project management, business operations, product ops, systems implementation, or Integrator-Chief of Staff–style roles
  • Proven ability to lead and execute cross-functional initiatives with minimal oversight, often in fast-paced or high-growth environments
  • Strong fluency in workflow/project management tools (e.g., Asana, ClickUp, Notion), ability to build and execute scripts, and willingness to own system configuration, rollout, and adoption
  • Natural builder and process designer–able to create structure out of ambiguity, optimize for scalability and repeatability
  • Demonstrated curiosity and practical experience with AI tooling (e.g., prompt engineering, OpenAI, Notion AI, Zapier, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including synthesizing complex information and building executive-ready materials
  • High degree of commercial awareness; understands how systems and workflows affect sourcing, execution, and strategic outcomes
  • Strong research and analytical skills — capable of generating insights to guide strategic decisions and improve internal operations
  • Comfortable working across multiple departments and functions, with the ability to influence without authority
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and action-oriented; thrives in ambiguous or evolving environments and can juggle multiple priorities
  • Highly detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and comfort managing both strategic work and execution
  • Experience with CRMs or data tools (e.g., Airtable, HubSpot, Salesforce); knowledge of investment-related tools like DealCloud is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree a plus, but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Notion, Airtable, or similar systems

What they Offer:

  • $200,000 base salary + additional performance bonus
  • Full medical, vision, and dental insurance with premiums 100% covered
  • 20 vacation days + unlimited sick days
  • 401K program and match
