Role: Executive Search Consultant

Location: Rye, NY & New York City

Our client is a boutique executive search and advisory firm operating at the intersection of private equity, operating leadership, and strategic growth.

The firm partners closely with founders, investors, and executive teams to build high-impact leadership benches while also supporting investment-related advisory initiatives. Known for deep client embedding, rigorous execution, and a highly collaborative culture, the team maintains a 100% search completion track record.

This is not a traditional search-only environment. The firm operates across both executive search and proactive strategic advisory engagements tied to private equity transactions.

Position Overview:

The firm is seeking 1–2 Consultants / Senior Consultants who want meaningful exposure across executive search, advisory projects, research, and client engagement.

This is a high-standards, apprenticeship-style environment with strong visibility into both executive hiring and private equity-driven value creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or support end-to-end executive search processes
• Conduct market research, candidate mapping, and executive identification
• Engage and interview C-suite and senior executives
• Contribute to strategic advisory and diligence-related projects
• Represent the firm in client meetings alongside partners
• Support business development and firm growth initiatives
• Maintain rigorous attention to detail across all deliverables

Qualifications

• 2+ years in executive search, expert networks, research, consulting, or related environments
• Comfortable engaging with senior executives and private equity clients
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage ambiguity
• Proactive, confident, and intellectually curious
• Humble and willing to “get in the weeds” when needed
• Demonstrated excellence in academics, athletics, or professional achievement
• Clear long-term career ambition and desire to grow into leadership
