Job Title: Chief of Staff

Our client is a company that offers a golf simulator system designed for home use. It includes a physical golf mat and a smartphone app that uses AI to record and analyze golf swings, simulate ball flight, and provide instant feedback. The system connects to a TV for an immersive golf experience where users can practice or play virtual golf anytime, regardless of weather or location


Position Overview:

Partner directly with the founder at a fast-growing well-capitalized startup operating at the intersection of e-commerce, gaming, and AI. Starting with executive support and learning existing operations, you'll quickly expand to operational leadership across strategic initiatives. They're seeking extremely talented operations people to learn the ins and outs of our fast growing org to support leadership efforts. Must have experience managing tech teams, understanding e-commerce, and hiring top talent. You should be able to do so in about one-third the time that most competent people think possible. Top-notch communication skills are essential. Expect talented, motivated, intense and interesting co-workers. Must be willing to relocate to Irvine area (we will help cover moving costs).

 

Your compensation will include meaningful equity ownership.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initial 3 Months
  • Build comprehensive understanding of company operations
  • Coordinate cross-departmental projects
  • Learn ideologies for success from founder.
  • 3-6 Months
  • Translate founder's vision into departmental action plans
  • Interface between technical teams and leadership daily
  • Hold teams accountable to deadlines and deliverables
  • Hold individuals accountable to company policy and intense cultural adherence.
  • Identify and remove blockers; making things faster & better every day.
  • Aggressively seek and filter top talent for companies growth needs
  • 6+ Months
  • Grow operationally to handle bigger and bigger operational initiatives
  • Remain humble with respect to forever being in the details of every department and assisting the founder in doing so as well.


Qualifications:

  • Extremely talented in operations.
  • Experience managing tech teams and understanding e-commerce.
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Top-notch communication skills.
  • High business acumen, possibly with a background in investment banking or working at a great startup.
