The Managing Partner role is crucial in shaping and leading the platform's venture capital arm, where they will be responsible for driving fundraising, recruiting LPs, and leading investments.
Role and Responsibilities
The Managing Partner role supports the firm in the development and execution of strategic and business decisions, including:
- Leading fundraising efforts for the firm and recruiting LPs to the fund
- Expanding and implementing strategic vision for the firm
- Managing and developing the investment and evaluation team
- Overseeing the analysis and due diligence of the firm's investment portfolio
- Working with other firm affiliates to ensure effective collaboration and coordination
Professional Qualifications
- Seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years of combined experience working in venture capital, private equity, and/or supporting startups in hardware, manufacturing and advanced technology.
- Strong track record of venture capital and / or private equity investments and experience managing a portfolio of investments
- Proactive communicator and that can quickly establish credibility with LPs, founders, c-suite executives, board members, and government officials.
- Passion for technology and venture capital ecosystems. You pay close attention to technology trends and can articulate prospective long-term implications for the hardware and hardtech industry.
- Well-established and respected industry network of LPs, entrepreneurs, executives, and technology leaders in relevant domains; or the confidence that you can quickly expand their network to include these groups of individuals.
