Role: Head of Growth Marketing

Location: Brooklyn, NYC (On-Site, 5 Days/Week)

Salary: $150K–$200K + Performance Bonus + Equity

Backed by top-tier investors and supported by an AI-native product and growth platform, they move with exceptional speed—scaling consumer applications from zero to meaningful revenue in months and spinning out winning products as independent, well-capitalized entities.


Position Overview:

The Head of Growth Marketing will be the first dedicated marketing hire and will own the growth engine for a breakout consumer app already demonstrating significant traction.


Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take full ownership of customer acquisition across paid, organic, referral, and emerging channels. This is a hands-on, player-coach role for a growth operator who wants to personally run campaigns while building the systems that make growth scalable, repeatable, and capital-efficient.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own Customer Acquisition End-to-End
  • Set targets across CAC, payback, LTV/CAC, retention, and growth. Deploy capital, make tradeoffs, and hit the numbers.
  • Scale Paid Acquisition (Hands-On)
  • Personally run and optimize Meta, TikTok, Google, and Apple Search Ads
  • Own creative testing, bidding, audience strategy, and attribution
  • Scale spend aggressively while maintaining strong unit economics
  • Build the Creative Engine
  • Work directly with UGC creators, designers, editors, and copywriters
  • Ship and test new creative continuously
  • Identify winning patterns and systematize them
  • Improve Funnel Conversion
  • Partner with Product to improve onboarding, activation, and retention
  • Optimize free-to-paid conversion and early lifecycle performance
  • Own the funnel from first impression through long-term value
  • Build Growth Analytics
  • Define the dashboards used by leadership
  • Run cohort analysis, channel performance, and payback modeling
  • Use data—not intuition—to guide scaling decisions
  • Develop Organic and Viral Growth
  • Systematize referral and word-of-mouth loops
  • Build scalable organic and creator-driven distribution
  • Reduce blended CAC over time through compounding channels


Qualifications:

This is a role for a deeply hands-on consumer growth operator.


You likely fit if you:

  • Have scaled consumer products from ~$10M to $100M+
  • Have personally run paid acquisition campaigns (not just managed agencies)
  • Understand unit economics, payback, and capital efficiency
  • Thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • Enjoy building systems while staying close to execution
  • Have experience scaling spend from ~$100K/month to $1M+ profitably


This role is not for you if:

  • You prefer managing large teams over doing the work
  • You want remote flexibility or a low-velocity environment
  • You come primarily from B2B SaaS
  • You haven’t been hands-on in paid growth in recent years
  • You need highly defined swim lanes and predictability
