Director of Operations (Home Care Agency)

Company: Very sizable Georgia home care agency.


Experience with home healthcare, especially Medicaid, Waiver programs (SSP, Source, Structured Family Care, etc.), is strongly preferred.


The Director of Operations will lead the team, drive operational excellence and revenue growth, ensure regulatory compliance and keep us going!


Responsibilities:


1. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Monitor and evaluate service quality to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between departments to ensure regulatory compliance and follow-through.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to comply with state, federal, and third-party regulations.
  • Uphold confidentiality and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and required training (including travel), to maintain regulatory standards.


2. Team Leadership & Staff Development

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate job performance to maintain performance expectations.
  • Support the professional development of current team members and provide training for all new hires.
  • Plan and execute internal team-building events and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Coordinate and organize staff recognition receptions.
  • Collaborate with HR and management to improve internal processes and employee performance.


3. Operations Management

  • Review documentation, operational processes, and financial data for efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Analyze and act on weekly and monthly operational reports.
  • Oversee SFC and Waiver referrals and leads.
  • Assist with recruitment strategies, advertising, and ensure a seamless hiring process.
  • Address and follow up on client and employee grievances.


4. Communication & Coordination

  • Work collaboratively with internal departments (HR, Payroll, Intake, Coordination, Nursing, etc.).
  • Maintain effective written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Serve as a point of contact for staff, clients, physicians, and referral sources.


5. Business Development & Growth

  • Achieve or exceed company growth targets.
  • Conduct weekly marketing outreach and collaborate on strategies.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with case managers.
  • Collaborate with upper management and leadership teams on strategic growth initiatives.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of business operations as they relate to company goals.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience, and 5-10+ years of work experience.
  • Experience with Medicaid, Waiver programs (SSP, Source, Structured Family Care, etc.), and home healthcare strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of business operations and how they align with company growth goals.
