Beyond Talent Solutions are delighted to be supporting a leading manufacturing business in Mansfield with the recruitment of a Payroll & Purchase Ledger Clerk. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation where you’ll take ownership of both payroll and purchase ledger responsibilities, playing a key role in the smooth running of the finance function.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Processing accurate and timely payroll, ensuring compliance with legislation, tax and pensions
- Maintaining employee payroll records, including starters, leavers and contractual changes
- Handling payroll queries and providing clear support to staff across the business
- Processing supplier invoices: matching, coding and posting to the ledger
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing and managing payment runs
- Supporting the wider finance team with month-end processes and ad-hoc tasks
About You
We’d love to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous experience in both payroll and purchase ledger, ideally within a finance team
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and legislation (RTI, tax, pensions)
- High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data
- Good IT skills, including Excel and experience with payroll/accounting systems
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines effectively
- A proactive, problem-solving approach with excellent communication skills
