Beyond Talent Solutions are delighted to be supporting a leading manufacturing business in Mansfield with the recruitment of a Payroll & Purchase Ledger Clerk. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation where you’ll take ownership of both payroll and purchase ledger responsibilities, playing a key role in the smooth running of the finance function.


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Processing accurate and timely payroll, ensuring compliance with legislation, tax and pensions
  • Maintaining employee payroll records, including starters, leavers and contractual changes
  • Handling payroll queries and providing clear support to staff across the business
  • Processing supplier invoices: matching, coding and posting to the ledger
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Preparing and managing payment runs
  • Supporting the wider finance team with month-end processes and ad-hoc tasks


About You


We’d love to hear from candidates who have:


  • Previous experience in both payroll and purchase ledger, ideally within a finance team
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and legislation (RTI, tax, pensions)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data
  • Good IT skills, including Excel and experience with payroll/accounting systems
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines effectively
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach with excellent communication skills
