Job Title: Vendor Pre-Qualifier / Appointment Setter

Role Overview:
The Vendor Pre-Qualifier will play a critical role in sourcing, vetting, and pre-qualifying vendors to ensure compliance with government funding opportunities and internal governance standards. This role is central to the company’s B2G (Business-to-Government) initiatives, working closely with internal teams to streamline vendor onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess potential vendors for government and corporate projects, including low-hanging opportunities with high revenue potential.
- Pre-qualify vendors based on compliance, capabilities, and alignment with project requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams (operations, compliance, legal, and vendor management) to ensure vendors meet eligibility criteria.
- Communicate effectively with vendors via phone and email to collect necessary documentation and information.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on vendor pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and updates.
- Collaborate with other teams to leverage vendor pools for both new and recurring government and corporate opportunities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in vendor management, pre-qualification, or compliance roles (B2G and B2B experience preferred).
- Familiarity with U.S. and Canada government procurement processes, RFPs, and registration requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple vendor pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone-based vendor outreach.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate tools such as Sweetspot, Merckx, or similar vendor management systems.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, public administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of direct experience in vendor pre-qualification, government contracting, procurement, or compliance.
- Proven background in vetting and onboarding vendors for federal, state, or municipal programs, with a strong understanding of government funding structures.
- Demonstrated experience with complex vendor ecosystems, including managing national or multi-sector vendor pools.
