Title: Business Development Representative

Location: On-site (Winnipeg, Manitoba-based preferred) 

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday 

Compensation: $55,000- $65,000 Base + Commission

About the Role: 

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. The BDR will play a key role in generating new business opportunities by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential clients. This role requires excellent communication skills, persistence, and the ability to build strong relationships with prospects to support the sales pipeline.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential clients through various channels (cold calls, email outreach, LinkedIn, networking, etc.).
  • Qualify leads and set up meetings or demos for the sales team.
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Conduct initial conversations to understand client needs and introduce company products/services.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop targeted outreach strategies.
  • Accurately manage and update CRM records with prospect information and activity.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly performance targets (e.g., meetings booked, qualified leads, revenue contribution).
  • Represent the company professionally and deliver a strong first impression.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not always required).
  • Proven experience in sales, lead generation, or customer-facing roles (B2B preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of motivation, resilience, and goal orientation.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and handle objections effectively.
  • Experience using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho) is a plus.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment.
