Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Specialist, Software Developer to join our engineering team. In this senior individual contributor role, you will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and ongoing support of a serverless platform, spanning Angular front-end applications, Node.js services on AWS Lambda, and production environments serving enterprise clients.
This is a hands-on technical role anchored in Eastern time to align with client operations. The role has significant ownership across DevOps, Release Management, Production Defects, and Platform Stabilization, working closely with senior engineers and offshore teams.
Success in this role includes building confidence with clients and internal teams through direct involvement in incidents, releases, and escalations. Occasional availability outside regular hours may be required to support critical production needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Own DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, observability, secrets management, and access controls
- Lead release management: branching strategy, environment promotion, deployment scheduling, rollback execution, and communications
- Manage production defects: triage, root-cause analysis, fixes, and post-incident reviews
- Drive platform stabilization: performance, scalability, reliability, cost efficiency, and security across AWS services
- Develop and deliver full-stack features across Angular and Node.js applications
- Partner with senior engineers to maintain technical excellence and platform reliability
- Engage with clients and internal stakeholders during incidents, releases, and escalations
- Collaborate with offshore teams across time zones
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) for coding, reviews, and estimation
- Participate in emergency response when critical production issues arise
- Work with AI/ML teams to integrate intelligent automation features
- Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, and mentorship
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployments and platform health
Required Qualifications
- 8–12 years of full-stack software engineering experience in production environments
- Availability in Eastern time with flexibility across global teams
- Strong DevOps expertise (CI/CD, IaC, observability, access control)
- Proven experience managing full release cycles end-to-end
- Hands-on production support and incident management experience
- Proficiency in Angular (v14+) and Node.js with TypeScript
- Experience with AWS serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, etc.)
- Strong client-facing communication skills
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools
- Solid understanding of security, data modeling, and system design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, lending, or regulated environments
- Experience working with offshore teams
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven product development
- Multi-tenant SaaS experience
- Familiarity with data privacy and compliance frameworks
