Key Project Manager – Temporary HVAC & Climate Control Solutions


Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Key Project Manager to lead the execution of temporary HVAC and climate control projects throughout the Gulf Coast region.

This is not a desk-based project management role. The ideal candidate enjoys being in the field, working directly with customers, coordinating technicians, commissioning equipment, solving problems, and ensuring projects are executed safely and efficiently.


The Key Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact between customers, general contractors, mechanical contractors, field technicians, and internal operations teams from project kickoff through completion.


Responsibilities

  • Manage temporary HVAC and climate control projects.
  • Coordinate project execution with technicians, branch operations, sales teams, and customers.
  • Lead jobsite planning, startup, commissioning, and equipment deployment activities.
  • Maintain direct communication with mechanical contractors, general contractors, and facility stakeholders.
  • Support field teams with troubleshooting and operational problem-solving.
  • Ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within customer expectations.
  • Assist with equipment setup, cable routing, startup activities, and field logistics when necessary.
  • Conduct site visits and provide project updates to customers and internal leadership.
  • Maintain documentation, project schedules, safety compliance, and operational reporting.
  • Travel throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, and surrounding Gulf Coast markets.


Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate has 5+ years in HVAC rental, power generation, or similar environments
  • Experience managing projects, field operations, service teams, or branch operations.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead technicians and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • HVAC, mechanical services, equipment rental, power generation, construction, industrial services, or mission-critical experience preferred.
  • Technical understanding of chillers, air handlers, temporary cooling, HVAC systems, generators, or related equipment is highly desirable.
  • Previous technician experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Comfortable working in active construction and industrial environments.
  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to operational excellence.
  • Willingness to travel 50%+ including occasional weekends.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Significant hourly pay + overtime (60–80 hrs during peak phases)
