Job Purpose

The Internal Sales Engineer Sensor Solutions plays a key role in developing business with both existing and prospective customers. Acting as a technical and commercial link for Sensor Solutions, they support the external sales team by prospecting markets, generating leads, preparing quotations, and converting opportunities into orders. They provide essential technical support throughout the customer journey and contribute to the overall sales strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily customer inquiries and quotations from request to order confirmation.
  • Interface between the distributors or Field Sales and the Product Managers
  • Management of the Special Prices
  • Qualify leads in collaboration with the external sales team.
  • Analyze customer needs and translate them into tailored solution offers.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, negotiate conditions and win orders.
  • Provide technical advice and product recommendations to customers.
  • Support after-sales activities including claims, commissioning, and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records in line with the Baumer Value Selling framework.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (external sales, customer service).
  • Participate in internal reviews for complex offers or projects involving OEM.

 

Required Profile

Education & Experience

  • Technical degree in electronics, electrotechnics, IT, or related fields
  • Experience in B2B sales or technical customer support
  • Familiarity with industrial environments and sales processes

Skills & Competencies

  • Technical background and experience with Sensors & PLC
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Sales attitude and ability to understand customer needs and applications
  • Organized, autonomous, and reliable
  • Team-oriented with a proactive mindset
  • Experience with CRM tools and Microsoft Office
  • Working proficiency in English
