Talent to Team is seeking our next passionate and experienced VP of People to provide strategic direction and support, directly and indirectly, to Clients in a wide range of industries. We are a small but growing mighty team excited to bring on our next rockstar!

About the Role:
Our VPs of People work with multiple clients at once, balancing needs and maintaining regular communication cadences. . This means you will need to be able to meet with Clients as needed during normal business hours and have the ability to manage parallel workstreams.
You’ll use your expertise to develop unique People strategies for Clients and use them to provide sound advice to startup founders and executives. To be successful, you must “been there” and “done that”. You will be an expert at time management and can handle competing priorities making sure no ball gets dropped! You laugh in the face of chaos, or at least chuckle a little.
Responsibilities:
Internal - Talent to Team
- Project Manage your Client accounts and serve as the point of escalation where a PeopleOps manager is assigned with you.
- Join internal weekly meetings and contribute to internal team shared resources with content, ideas, enthusiasm, etc
Client Facing Responsibilities
Actual Client Facing responsibilities will vary from Client to Client but the below are all reasonable requests and responsibilities that may be needed when you serve as a Client’s fractional VP of People.
- Partner with the Client's Executive team in building or enhancing the employer brand, candidate experience, People Programs, guiding principles, strategic plans,staffing needs and organizational structure, and current and desired culture.
- Function as a strategic advisor and coach to the Executive team for all things people related.
- Reinforce purpose and gain buy-in throughout the organization.
- Identify and track key metrics; analyze data and utilize information to drive people related initiatives.
- Actively shape culture both with existing employees and through talent acquisition.
- Drive onboarding program that supports the Client’s desired People Experience.
- Employee Development & Performance Management:
- Work with managers to align employees with company values, strategy, goals, and initiatives.
- Implement performance management and employee development programs that provide individuals with growth opportunities and promote a performance-based culture.
- Coach employees and managers through conflict, change, and growth.
- Establish mechanisms to receive and act upon employee feedback.
- Serve as a point of escalation for employee relations and general questions.
- Implement employee programs that enhance the employee experience, drive performance, and positively impact employee retention.
- Drive employee morale through proactive and effective communications.
- Evaluate and implement competitive compensation and benefit strategies that enable Client’s to attract and retain a high performing workforce.
- Lead HR diligence and integration efforts related to M&A activities.
- Establish an HR organization that supports current business needs while identifying and solving for future needs.
- Develop HR staff and enable continuous growth.
- Direct HR activities in support of organizational goals.
- Craft and Maintain an HR budget
Requirements
- A passion and care for startups and a belief that people-experiences are foundational to the success of modern day companies
- Deep experience as VP of People, Head of People, Chief People Officer or HR Director in a start-up or corporate environment.
- A business acumen partnered with focus on people, knowledge of data analysis, and reporting
- Experience with EOS Framework
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Diligent and firm with high ethical standards
- Professional HR certification: SPHR or SHRM-SCP
- Minimal travel to clients as needed, less than 5%
Compensation:
- Employees can set their own target hours between 10-35+ hours per week
- Cash compensation is hourly commensurate with experience between $90-$135 / hr
- Medical, dental and vision insurance with company contribution towards medical premiums
- Company paid Life, LTD & STD
