Outside Sales Representative – Metal Roofing
Location: New England Territory (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT)
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to promote and sell our metal roofing products to roofing supply houses, lumber yards, building material distributors, and contractor supply companies throughout New England. This is a territory-based position requiring regular travel to develop new accounts and grow existing customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities

Develop New Business: Identify, prospect, and secure new accounts including roofing supply houses, lumber yards, and building material dealers throughout the New England region

Manage Existing Accounts: Build and maintain strong relationships with current customers to maximize sales and ensure customer satisfaction

Product Presentations: Conduct in-person sales calls, product demonstrations, and training sessions on metal roofing systems and accessories

Territory Management: Plan and execute efficient travel routes to maximize face-to-face customer contact

Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales quotas

Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends; provide feedback to management

Trade Shows & Events: Represent the company at industry trade shows, contractor events, and association meetings

Collaboration: Work closely with inside sales, customer service, and operations teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment
Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in building materials, roofing, or construction-related products

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with metal roofing products, building materials distribution, or the roofing industry is a plus

Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; self-motivated with excellent time management

Travel: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout New England (overnight travel may be required)

Technology: Proficient with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and mobile sales tools
