REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - NEW ENGLAND



Our client, a leading steel fabrication company, is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager for their New England operations. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in New England (Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Vermont).


Location & Travel Note: While the candidate has the flexibility to reside anywhere within the New England region, this position will require extensive travel and face-to-face interaction with customers. Therefore, the candidate must have the ability to drive and travel seamlessly throughout their designated market.

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager. This role involves responsibility for account development with existing customers, new customer growth, market analysis, strategic planning/implementation, and other duties as assigned within the region. The successful candidate can be based out of a home office and live anywhere within the New England territory, provided they have the ability to travel throughout the region as needed. The RSM will also be expected to provide leadership, participate in, and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within our client's organization; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.



Compensation:

OTE is $150,000 to $200,000+ a year, with a base salary of $110,000 to $125,000 a year.  

With outstanding medical and dental benefits, full expense account, mileage, stock, profit sharing and more 



Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain industry-leading standards
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through strategic prospecting
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships across the territory
  • Serve as primary liaison between customers and fabrication operations
  • Develop comprehensive annual sales strategies in collaboration with senior management
  • Drive revenue, shipment, and profitability targets through proactive problem-solving
  • Lead and develop District Sales Managers (DSMs) and inside sales teams
  • Collaborate with estimating teams to optimize resource allocation
  • Represent the company at high-profile projects and strategic accounts
  • Participate in cross-regional initiatives and strategic planning sessions
  • Travel extensively for face-to-face customer interactions


Required Qualifications:

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Proven sales or marketing experience within the steel industry
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the region
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive throughout territory


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
  • Experience in customer relations and dispute resolution
  • Understanding of contracts and standard business practices
  • Leadership experience in managing sales teams


Special Requirements:

  • Flexible schedule - may require work beyond standard business hours
  • Extensive travel required for customer meetings and relationship building
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive business information

Travel: Extensive regional travel required
