The Power BI Developer converts raw data into valuable and insightful dashboards, applications, and reports. Additionally, they offer design/solution consulting in Analytics and establish standards for the team. This role provides both functional and technical expertise in BI data management and business intelligence/application decisions.
Job Duties:
- Develop, maintain, and improve critical business intelligence (BI) solutions and applications using Microsoft Power Platform.
- Offer design and solution consulting in analytics and business applications.
- Provide expertise in data management, warehousing, and business intelligence, both functionally and technically.
- Standardize internal BI processes and operations, such as deployments.
- Mentor and guide team developers, setting standards and best practices.
- Deliver products using various Power Platform tools and technologies.
- Identify and engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance the internal customer experience.
- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders, developers, infrastructure teams, and project management groups.
- Analyze data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schemas while designing, developing, optimizing, and certifying database designs to meet reporting needs.
- Help monitor system performance, reliability, availability, and recoverability of the data warehouse environment.
Requirements:
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Power BI development
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Power Apps development
- Highly proficient in Data Modeling, SQL
- Highly proficient in developing solutions using Power Platform.
- Experience in the Azure suite, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse is nice to have.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills consistent with a client group, including senior managers & executives.

- Highly proficient in translating complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work efficiently with the data warehouse team to identify data dependencies and data requirements.
- Experience in writing Complex DAX queries and functions.
- Ability to manage highly confidential material.
- Typically requires 8-10 or more years of experience in BI Development.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a STEM field is preferred.
