Contract Position – Potential for Permanent Hire

Role Overview
We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the development and enhancement of Azure and AWS tenants, subscriptions, landing zones, networking, security, and infrastructure. This role requires a mix of hands-on cloud expertise, leadership, and strong communication skills, with additional responsibilities for supporting on-premises Kubernetes clusters.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement cloud infrastructure best practices with a focus on Site Reliability, Observability, and Scalability.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, DBAs, Developers, DevOps, SRE, Data Engineers) to drive AWS standards, IaC (Infrastructure as Code), and cost optimizations.
- Architect and deliver technical solutions that enhance both cloud and on-premise platforms.
- Troubleshoot issues by conducting incident investigations, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Manage Kubernetes cluster provisioning, performance tuning, and security configuration.
- Perform proactive system monitoring and remediation of platform-related issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring problems.
- Ensure continuous availability of data platform services.
- Maintain and document environment architecture.
- Recommend and present platform improvement opportunities to management.
Qualifications

5+ years of experience with AWS and Azure (professional certification or equivalent work experience required).

5+ years in application deployment automation and DevOps practices.

5+ years of experience with Linux-based software installation, administration, and maintenance.

3+ years of hands-on experience with automation tools (Ansible, Salt, Terraform).
- Strong expertise with Azure DevOps.
- Proven experience designing and implementing:
- Redundant systems (backup/recovery, HA, load balancing, disaster recovery).
- Large-scale distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of core IT infrastructure (virtualization, networking, storage management).
- Exceptional documentation and communication skills—capable of presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
