Principal Software Engineer (AI-Focused)

Seeking a Principal Software Engineer with 10+ years of software engineering experience and at least 1 year of hands-on AI engineering experience. This individual will provide technical leadership, drive architecture decisions, modernize enterprise applications, and build AI-enabled solutions leveraging technologies such as LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and Azure OpenAI.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and technical strategy for enterprise applications.
• Design and develop scalable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, React, and cloud technologies.
• Drive modernization of legacy applications to microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Design and implement AI-powered solutions including RAG, AI agents, and LLM integrations.
• Champion engineering best practices across CI/CD, testing, security, and observability.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across teams.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 1+ year of AI engineering experience building or integrating AI-enabled applications
• Expert-level Java and Spring Boot experience
• React and modern JavaScript development experience
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, AWS Bedrock, or similar AI platforms
• Strong understanding of LLMs, RAG, vector databases, AI agents, and prompt engineering
• Azure or AWS cloud experience
• Microservices and event-driven architecture experience
• CI/CD pipeline and DevOps experience
• Proven architecture ownership and technical leadership
