The DevOps Team Lead in Digital Solutions is responsible for leading a team that will drive the cloud solutions design, development, and maintenance including best practices for scalability. This role is responsible for automation of software development and deployment lifecycle to deliver speed to market, efficiency and quality resulting in higher value to customers.
For this purpose, the DevOps Team Lead will work closely with the client’s business stakeholders and the Digital Solutions teams namely Digital Sales, Product Innovation, Customer Success Management, MLOps and Data Engineering to understand client needs and identify how to design the optimal solution.
Job Duties/Roles
1. Lead the technical vision for web application using Microsoft Azure stack and other relevant technology.
2. Assign work and guide a team of product developers who are working on several client projects simultaneously.
3. Develop, test and debug new modules and enhancements.
4. Contribute to an agile project team to help understand and document client requirements, estimate work, develop new solutions, and enhance existing solutions.
5. Actively conduct code reviews and facilitate peer code reviews to enhance quality.
6. Work closely with team to create/maintain an automated CI/CD software pipeline.
7. Mentor product developers to grow their technical skills.
8. Build and maintain end-to-end deployment automation, monitoring and cloud infrastructure management as well as other internal tools to streamline development process and enhance productivity.
9. Promote and collaborate on development and coding best practices.
10. Research new technologies and create software architecture strategies to meet defined business objectives including but not limited to minimizing cloud infrastructure cost.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
1. Strong experience developing, managing, and automating deployments for complex web applications deployed to Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
2. In-depth understanding of software development process and workflows.
3. Strong experience monitoring cloud-based applications for errors and performance.
4. Strong experience with software design, ETL techniques, writing complex stored procedures, query optimization, data synchronization, code refactoring, DevOps, CI/CD, continuous testing, and version control.
5. Ability to work in a team environment and have strong coordination, organization, and communication skills.
6. Ability to define, design, and implement an automated continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) system.
7. Working knowledge of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System.
Minimum years of Experience
Typically requires at least 10 years of relevant experience.
Required/Preferred Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
