We’re looking for a hands-on IT Financial Analyst to support Corporate IT during a period of growth and process build‑out. This role is ideal for someone early‑to‑mid career who is curious, eager to learn, and comfortable working in ambiguity.

This is not an accounting role. The focus is on financial analysis, IT spend visibility, and telling the story behind the numbers — helping leaders understand what happened, why it happened, and what to do next.

Processes and reporting are actively being built and refined, so this person must enjoy trial‑and‑error, continuous improvement, and partnering closely with IT leaders to shape how financial insights are delivered.

What You’ll Do

IT Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Track and analyze IT actuals vs. budget and forecast (Opex & Capex)
  • Prepare monthly IT financial reports and variance explanations
  • Translate numbers into clear business insights — not just spreadsheets
  • Support leadership with “why did we overspend?” and “what’s driving the variance?”

Budgeting, Forecasting & Allocations

  • Support annual IT budgeting and ongoing forecasting cycles
  • Partner with IT cost center owners to ensure accurate allocations
  • Monitor spend trends and flag risks or opportunities early

Transaction Review & Cost Management

  • Review IT financial transactions for accuracy and proper coding
  • Support cost reclasses, accruals, and allocations
  • Ensure costs hit the right GLs, cost centers, and projects

Capital & Project Financials

  • Support capitalization vs. expense decisions for IT projects
  • Review depreciation and amortization schedules and their budget impact
  • Partner with Accounting and PMO on project cost tracking

Process Building & Continuous Improvement

  • Help build, document, and improve IT finance processes and reporting
  • Support new reporting formats as leaders refine what they want to see
  • Create simple guides or job aids to help IT stakeholders understand financial processes

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Work closely with IT, PMO, Finance, Procurement, and Accounting teams
  • Participate in regular reviews with US‑based stakeholders
  • Adapt communication style based on how different leaders consume financial data

What We’re Looking For

Must‑Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or management accounting
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting concepts (debits, accruals, capex vs. opex)
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, analysis)
  • Experience working with ERP or financial systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.)
  • Ability to tell the story behind the numbers in plain business language

Nice‑to‑Haves

  • Experience supporting IT, technology, or project-based spend
  • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or financial dashboards
  • Experience working with global or cross‑time‑zone teams

Soft Skills That Matter Here

  • Curious, motivated, and genuinely wants to learn
  • Comfortable without perfect process or structure
  • Strong communicator — can explain financials to non‑finance leaders
  • Detail‑oriented but able to zoom out to the bigger picture
  • Adaptable — understands reporting may evolve month‑to‑month

Why This Role Is Different

  • You’ll help build and shape IT financial reporting, not just maintain it
  • You’ll work closely with leaders who want insights, not spreadsheets
  • You’ll gain exposure to IT finance, project spend, and enterprise decision‑making
  • Great opportunity for someone who wants to grow and level up in IT finance
