Position Summary:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for managing and delivering assigned projects from initiation through closure, while supporting the Portfolio Manager in maintaining visibility across the broader portfolio. This role combines hands-on project leadership with coordination responsibilities, ensuring that individual projects are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities: Project Ownership

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and manage changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure stakeholder engagement and satisfaction through regular communication and status updates.

Portfolio Coordination

  • Support the Portfolio Manager with portfolio-level reporting, resource tracking, and governance activities.
  • Contribute to portfolio dashboards and executive summaries by providing accurate project data.
  • Assist in aligning individual project outcomes with portfolio-level strategies and KPIs.

Documentation & Communication

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, schedules, RAID logs, and closure reports.
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, and document decisions and action items.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and leadership.

Tools & Systems

  • Use project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent) to manage and report on project progress.
  • Maintain collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams) for project documentation and stakeholder access.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects or coordinating project activities.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and lifecycle.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a PMO or supporting enterprise-level initiatives.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management and governance frameworks.
  • PMP, CAPM, or similar certification is a plus.
