Power Platform Architect (Contractor)

Fully Onsite Mon-Fri, Six-month contract with possible extension

***Two‑Round Interview Process: 1) Virtual via Teams, 2) Final Onsite in Downtown Houston

We are seeking an experienced Power Platform Architect to lead enterprise architecture, governance, and large‑scale solution design across the Microsoft ecosystem. This role requires deep, hands‑on expertise with Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, integrations, Azure, and M365.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Governance

• Define enterprise architecture for Power Platform (Dataverse schema, security, ALM, environment strategy).
• Implement governance: DLP policies, CoE practices, lifecycle management.
• Architect scalable solutions across Power Apps (Canvas + Model‑Driven), Power Automate, and integrations.

Solution Design

• Translate business requirements into strong technical designs.
• Lead solution decisions using Azure Functions, API Management, Logic Apps, SQL, custom connectors, and third‑party integrations.
• Produce SDDs, integration maps, ERDs, and deployment blueprints.

Technical Leadership

• Guide developers, review code, and ensure best practices.
• Support UAT, troubleshoot performance issues, and validate security and scalability.
• Work directly with business and IT teams onsite.

Required Experience

• 12+ years in Microsoft ecosystem; 4+ years in Power Platform architecture.
• Deep experience with Model‑Driven & Canvas Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and ALM.
• Strong integration background (SAP, Salesforce, SQL, Azure services, Dynamics 365, legacy apps).
• Hands‑on experience with custom connectors, Azure Functions, and API integrations.
• Solid understanding of environments, security roles, permissions, and governance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑facing skills.
• Must be onsite 5 days/week.

Nice-to-Have

• PL‑600 certification
• Experience with Copilot Studio and generative AI
• UiPath, AWS, or hybrid automation experience
• Enterprise modernization or migration background
