Human Resources Manager – Manufacturing Operations

Location: Humble, Texas (Full-time, On-site)

Reports to: Plant Director

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead and elevate the people function at a rapidly scaling manufacturing facility. This role sits on the site leadership team and plays a pivotal part in driving engagement, culture, and performance while aligning the people strategy with day-to-day operational goals.


This position is based at the Humble, TX plant, which is in an exciting growth phase as production capacity increases and the workforce continues to expand. The ideal candidate brings strong plant HR leadership experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has supported workforce ramp-ups or startup-scale operations in previous roles.


You will oversee all areas of the employee lifecycle, serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, and hire/manage an HR Generalist to support daily operations.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Partner with plant management and leadership teams to provide strategic HR guidance and operational support.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
  • Advise and coach leaders on performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
  • Drive organizational development, including training programs, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Oversee benefits administration, leave management, and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues on company-wide initiatives, program rollouts, and policy development.
  • Manage temporary staffing partners, including vendor selection, performance oversight, and rate negotiations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance HR processes and improve system efficiency and scalability.
  • Foster and maintain a strong culture of safety, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a critical partner in inventory management programs, including month-end and year-end physical counts.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in a plant-based leadership role within manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Experience supporting facility ramp-ups, large-scale hiring, or startup expansions (strong plus).
  • Deep understanding of employment laws, employee relations, and workforce management best practices.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven success leading through change, driving engagement, and developing leaders at all levels.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • HR certifications (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR) preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce or a similar HRIS platform is an asset.
