Director of Product Management
On-site in either Scottsdale, AZ or Baltimore, MD, with an in-office expectation. Relocation assistance is available.
Ever notice how a job site, a pop-up clinic, a classroom, or a festival can appear almost overnight? That's the work behind the scenes. We're a market leader in the solutions that help projects and teams get up and running fast, exactly when and where they're needed.
We're a large, fast-growing team across North America, and we move quickly. Our people consistently tell us they're proud of the work they do here. From day one we invest in your growth, give back to the communities we serve, and treat safety and inclusion as non-negotiables.
Right now we're scaling one of the highest-visibility product portfolios in the business, and we're looking for a leader to own it.
About the role
As Director of Product Management, you'll own the vision, roadmap, and growth strategy for some of our fastest-moving categories: cold storage, clearspan structures, and emerging high-growth spaces like power solutions. It's a portfolio with an ambitious mandate, on track to roughly double over the next three to five years, and the resources and executive backing to get there.
You'll lead a team of product managers, partner closely with the general managers who run these business units, and act as the categorical expert who turns strategy into results in the field. This is hands-on, field-facing product leadership for physical, capital products, not a role you can drive from behind a desk. Reporting directly to the head of product management, you'll translate senior leadership's direction into concrete plans that grow revenue, penetration, and margin, with real visibility all the way up to the C-suite. You will regularly work with the CEO of Fortune 1000 company.
What you'll be doing
The role centers on three pillars:
• Category management: partner with general managers to shape the right SKU mix and pricing, and explore new products and supply chains that expand the portfolio
• Sales enablement: build the training, cut sheets, collateral, job aids, and improved quoting flows that help the field sell these categories with confidence
• New product development: own new product development across cold storage, clearspan, and high-growth verticals, from justification and forecasting through pricing, launch, and lifecycle management
You'll also:
• Run market research and customer discovery to understand needs, the competitive landscape, and where the biggest opportunities sit
• Identify and pursue margin expansion and other financial-improvement programs
• Own strategic, annual, and marketing planning, and re-plan as conditions change
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with sales, operations, IT, and finance that carry plans through to execution
• Champion a strong safety culture and comply with all safety, transportation, and environmental policies
• Represent the organization in community and business settings, connecting our mission and values to the communities we serve
What you bring
• 7+ years of increasing responsibility in product management or product development, ideally B2B and involving capital products
• A track record developing, launching, and managing products and the programs that support them
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to time-bound product performance outcomes (people-leadership experience is a strong plus)
• Depth in category management, new product development, product launch, and project management
• Experience building internal and external programs and toolkits, with clear success metrics and reporting
• Business acumen across sales, operations, and finance
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel
• Clear, effective communication up, down, and across an organization
• Comfort with CRM (Salesforce) and ERP (SAP) systems, or the ability to pick them up quickly
• Current engagement with B2B product and marketing trends
What sets our best people apart
• Customer-first credibility: you get into the field, learn the business, and earn the right to make recommendations before you move things around. You lead with the customer, not just competitor analysis or a spreadsheet.
• Dynamic thinking: you thrive where step B isn't always mapped to step A and you do your best work building in a fast-moving environment without heavy, rigid process.
Backgrounds that tend to do well here include construction, rental equipment, B2B capital equipment, industrial distribution, building products, logistics or fleet, and field services, but we've hired standout product leaders from well outside those industries. What matters most is comfort in the field and a customer-first instinct.

• A team that invests in people: strong internal mobility, with team members going on to general management, operations, and sales leadership roles
