Regional Sales Manager — Edmonton, Alberta

Location: Edmonton, AB (Calgary also considered); primary hub is Edmonton or Acheson

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Schedule: Office-based + field travel across BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan (~3–4 day trips every 3–4 weeks per market)

About the Role

This is a high-impact, field-first sales leadership role for one of the top-performing provinces in the national portfolio. Reporting directly to the Commercial Senior Director (Canada), the Regional Sales Manager guides TSMs and PSMs across Western Canada (BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan) through coaching, influence, and hands-on field engagement — not through direct operational management. Alberta is one of the two most critical provinces in the business, currently performing at a high level with strong momentum across both Calgary and Edmonton. This role requires a leader who can sustain that performance, develop a mixed-tenure team, and drive the next phase of field-first commercial execution.

What You'll Be Doing

•      Lead commercial execution across Alberta (primary) and the broader Western Canada territory — including BC and Saskatchewan — with focus on territory planning, pipeline health, and revenue growth

•      Coach, develop, and build field presence with TSMs and PSMs across Edmonton and Calgary; conduct regular ride-alongs, joint customer visits, and structured call coaching

•      Manage a team with a mix of tenured performers and newer reps; calibrate coaching approach accordingly and set clear, consistent expectations for field activity

•      Drive the shift from inside-leaning to field-first rep behavior; model and reinforce the company's commercial methodology with individual flair

•      Operate effectively in a matrix structure — align with GMs on commercial priorities, lead through influence, and collaborate across operations, marketing, and support functions

•      Use Salesforce and Tableau to track KPIs, surface coaching opportunities, and bring data-backed insights to territory and leadership reviews

•      Travel to BC and Saskatchewan markets approximately every 3–4 weeks (3–4 days per trip) to maintain field presence and coaching continuity

•      Participate in national and regional planning cycles: demand forecasting, go-to-market planning, and performance reviews

•      Contribute to filling and onboarding the open TSM headcount in Calgary; help integrate new team members into the regional culture and sales methodology

What You Bring

•      5+ years of sales leadership experience with a track record of hitting targets and developing reps across varied experience levels

•      Background in oil and gas, construction, modular structures, industrial leasing, portable storage, or adjacent industries is strongly preferred

•      Proven ability to operate and lead in a matrix or dotted-line structure — comfortable leading through influence, not authority

•      Field-first approach — credible with frontline reps; will ride alongside reps on customer visits and coach in real time

•      Strong analytical capability; proficiency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM; experience with Tableau or similar reporting tools is a significant asset

•      Comfortable managing both high-tenured performers and newer hires; skilled at adapting leadership style to context

•      Willingness to travel ~3–4 days every 3–4 weeks to BC and Saskatchewan markets (mix of road and air)

•      Must reside in Edmonton or Calgary; proximity to the Edmonton office (primary hub) is preferred

•      Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field — OR 7+ years of progressive sales experience in lieu of formal education

Work Structure

This role is based primarily out of the Edmonton, AB or Acheson office, with regular presence in Calgary as well. The Edmonton market is the operational hub; Calgary is a key secondary territory. The RSM will travel to BC and Saskatchewan markets approximately every 3–4 weeks for 3–4 days per trip (road and air). This is not a remote role — consistent office and field presence across the Western Canada territory is expected.
