About Our Client
We’re partnering with our client, a well-established and growing SaaS company, on their search for a Corporate Accounting Manager. Our client is a stable, profitable business known for strong benefits and a collaborative accounting organization that’s expanding to keep pace with the company’s growth.
Why This Role Exists
This is a newly created position, added because of growth, not a replacement. Our client’s Corporate Accounting function is expanding its capacity and technical depth, and this hire will work alongside an experienced, well-established Corporate Accounting Manager while reporting to the Senior Director, Assistant Controller. That gives the incoming hire two strong accounting leaders to learn from and collaborate with as they build toward greater ownership and independence in their own area.
Role Overview
This is a broad corporate accounting role with substantial technical responsibility. This is an individual contributor position, not a people-management role: you’ll own significant areas of corporate accounting, play a key part in the close process, and work cross-functionally across the business. The corporate accounting team is responsible for roughly 90% of the P&L through month-end close (revenue, commissions, tax, and international accounting sit outside this role’s primary scope).
Key Responsibilities
Month-End Close
The close is fast-paced and requires strong organization and technical skill: close in roughly six business days, review activity around day eight, and reconciliations completed by around day ten. You’ll need to understand the close process thoroughly and be capable of reviewing complex work independently.
Ideal Candidate
Our client is open to candidates coming from public accounting or industry. A CPA and public accounting background are a plus but not required; what matters most is a strong technical accounting foundation and a genuine ability to take ownership of complex work.
What matters most:
Backgrounds we’d love to see: Senior Accountants or Corporate Accounting professionals from industry with strong technical depth; public accounting candidates with strong technical experience; and candidates from SaaS, technology, or other complex corporate accounting environments.
