About the Role

Reporting to the Regional General Manager, the Senior General Manager will lead market performance across multiple metro areas with $5M–$25M in annual revenue. This includes full P&L accountability, growth strategy, operational execution, and talent development.

This role requires balancing commercial leadership with operational oversight, driving revenue growth while ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused execution across sales, branch operations, fleet, logistics, and service.

 

Key Responsibilities

·      Own the P&L across multiple locations; deliver on revenue, EBITDA, and profitability targets.

·      Develop and execute sales and market growth strategies to expand penetration across product lines.

·      Manage field sales teams, setting expectations, driving productivity, and hitting growth objectives.

·      Oversee branch operations, including fleet maintenance, direct labor planning, and safety.

·      Oversee transportation and logistics, ensuring fulfillment is safe, efficient, and profitable.

·      Improve customer service processes to increase satisfaction and net promoter scores.

·      Build, coach, and retain a high-performing leadership bench across all functions.

·      Provide timely input to divisional and corporate leadership: forecasting, competitive intelligence, best practices, and compliance updates.

 

Required Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field—or equivalent experience.

·      5+ years of progressive leadership roles in business unit management.

·      Proven success managing a P&L of at least $5M.

·      Ability to travel 25% (primarily within market, plus regional/corporate meetings).

 

Preferred Qualifications

·      Master’s degree in Business or related field.

·      10–20M P&L leadership experience with a focus on sales/commercial impact.

·      Experience working in decentralized, branch-based networks.

·      Background in asset-intensive industries such as equipment rental, transportation, fleet management, or industrial services.

·      Track record leading logistics, fleet operations, or service delivery teams.

·      Strong executive presence with polished communication and presentation skills.

·      Experience in rental/leasing business models (construction equipment, fleet, or storage).
