We are seeking a highly organised and service-driven Bookings Administrator to support the seamless processing of staffing requests within the UK healthcare sector. You will be the first point of contact for booking enquiries and responsible for handling all booking operations during standard and requested out-of-hours periods. This role requires precision, professionalism, and proactive communication to maintain smooth service delivery across teams and clients.
Bookings Administrator:
• Respond promptly to booking enquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
• Accurately process new bookings, amendments, and cancellations using internal booking systems.
• Confirm availability of healthcare professionals and coordinate shift schedules to meet client requirements.
• Liaise with clients, service providers, and internal departments to confirm shift details and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate booking records, logs, and system databases.
• Ensure all bookings are completed within agreed timescales and quality standards.
• Address and resolve booking issues, conflicts, or last-minute changes in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
• Act as the main contact point during evenings, weekends, and holidays, handling time-sensitive staffing needs.
• Manage urgent shift cover requests and ensure smooth handovers between daytime and OOH operations.
• Monitor communications channels for new enquiries and respond according to escalation protocols.
• Input and process candidate applications received outside of standard hours to support resourcing efforts.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

• Proficient in MS Office and booking/CRM systems

• Experience working in a fast-paced, shift-based or OOH environment
• Familiarity with healthcare frameworks, and shift booking platforms
