Greencastle Solutions SA, based in Rosebank Johannesburg, serves as the support function office for our UK operations. We are in an exciting phase of growth and are expanding our finance team. As part of this expansion, we are looking to connect with talented Bookkeepers who are eager to grow in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

 

Below are the key responsibilities and requirements for the role:

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter data, maintain accurate records, and prepare financial reports.
  • Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation issues and discrepancies.
  • Assist with centralising group reporting functions and processes to ensure consistency across the group.
  • Support cash postings and conduct bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure transactions are recorded in the correct ledger, including supplier, customer, and general ledger accounts.
  • Highlight any inconsistencies identified to the GFM during the preparation or maintenance of financial records.
  • Support the GFM with standardising, simplifying, and automating workpapers.
  • Assist the GFM and/or Head of Finance with statutory filings, meeting compliance deadlines, and completing any ad hoc tasks.

 

Role Requirements

  • Experience with Business Central 365 is advantageous.
  • BCom or NQF Level 7 qualification (Financial Accounting preferred).
  • Ability to manage changing workloads and meet deadlines effectively.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Good numerical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with change management is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with at least intermediate Excel skills.
  • Office‑based role, 5 days a week, aligned to UK working hours – Mon-Fri 9am-6pm (March – October) / 10am-7pm (October – March)
