Job Purpose

We are looking for a detail-oriented and diligent Compliance officer to join our compliance team. You will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and processing new and existing care staff documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Your role is vital to maintaining our high quality and safeguarding standards for both our staff and service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify all documentation submitted by candidates and staff, including DBS checks, professional registrations, references, training certificates, and right to work documents.
  • Ensure compliance packs are complete, accurate, and meet regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • Identify and flag any discrepancies, missing information, or compliance risks, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and update compliance databases promptly and securely.
  • Liaise with recruitment, HR, and care teams to resolve outstanding compliance issues efficiently.
  • Support the onboarding process by confirming all compliance checks are completed before staff commence work.
  • Keep up to date with changes in compliance requirements and best practices within the health and social care sector.
  • Assist with audits and quality assurance processes as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working in a compliance or administrative role, ideally within healthcare or social care.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Good understanding of DBS checks, professional registrations (e.g., NMC), and care sector regulations.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain data protection standards.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with various internal teams and external agencies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and database management systems.
